Board of Trustees

Beta Theta Pi’s Board of Trustees is comprised of nine talented volunteers — a president, a general secretary, a general treasurer and six vice presidents — from different schools, backgrounds, age ranges and regions of North America. Terms are three years in length, and one general officer and two vice presidents are elected by General Convention delegates each year.

As dictated by The Code of Beta Theta Pi, when the General Convention is not in session, the Board of Trustees is responsible for monitoring the progress of all Beta chapters and the Fraternity’s leadership development programs; developing plans to expand the Fraternity; appointing volunteers to support chapters at the local level; instigating strategic planning; publishing the Fraternity's quarterly magazine; maintaining and increasing the Fraternity’s resource base, etc.  One of the Board’s most important priorities is the promotion and advancement of Beta Theta Pi's highly successful Men of Principle initiative. Likewise, the Board’s commitment to fostering collaborative relationships with university administrators and faculty is second to none.
