Beta Theta Pi is unique in having an annual Convention that oversees the governance of the Fraternity. Convention is celebrated in various cities throughout North America with up to 1,000 Betas and friends in attendance each year. The convention is vital not only as a governing body but also as perhaps the most important enduring force for the maintenance of the Beta spirit. The 171st General Convention will be held at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Virginia, August 5-8, 2010. Located right across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C., the hotel property provides easy access to the city via the Washington Metro and is also conveniently located near Reagan National Airport. In fact, this is the same hotel from the 158th General Convention in 1997. See who's registered.
Registration Cancellation - Through June 30 all registrants (aside from delegates and facilitators) are elligible to cancel with a 50% refund of the registration fees. After June 30 there are no refunds for cancellation. Please note, no additional registrations will be accepted within two weeks of the Convention. Alumni attendees are responsible for their own accomodations and should reserve a room directly with the hotel. Reservations by attendees must be received on or before Friday, July 9, 2010 to guarantee inclusion in the Beta Theta Pi room block and rate of $135 plus tax. Delegates, undergraduates, facilitators, General Fraternity officers and foundation board will be accomodated through a Fraternity rooming list. Crystal Gateway Marriott Interested in interning?
