Dear Brothers, Parents, and Friends of Beta: Welcome to the Beta Foundation website! I hope the content found within these pages gives you an overview of the purpose, goals, and activity of the Foundation. The Beta Foundation plays a critical role in funding the educational activity of the Fraternity. Thankfully, Beta’s award winning Men of Principle initiative has helped us become a credible organization with a clear vision: to become the exemplary standard for all collegiate fraternal societies. Every year the Foundation’s donors are the ones who bring that vision to life. Beta can only accomplish its work with the help and support of Betas, parents, and Friends of Beta across North America. As Chairman of the Foundation Board of Directors, I can assure you that the volunteers and staff are working as hard as possible to ensure we meet our FY10 goal of raising $850,000 for the Beta Leadership Fund – the lifeline of our educational programming. As you consider your role in supporting our Great and Good Fraternity, I ask that you reflect on one of my favorite quotes… “Don’t give ‘til it hurts. Give ‘til it feels good.” Brother and friends, now is not the time to rest on our laurels. As far as I’m concerned, we’re just getting started!!!
Yours in ____kai____, Doug G. Houser, Willamette ’57
