![]() What is Beta Bracketology and How Do I Participate?Beta Bracketology is a bracket-style game that lets you show your college basketball smarts by picking the winners of this year's NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. Any Beta, Friend of Beta or Parent who makes an online gift of any size to the Beta Leadership Fund between January 1 and March 14 will receive an electronic invitation to participate in Beta Bracketology. Prizes will be awarded for the best brackets (see below), so don’t delay in securing your participation and make your online BLF gift today! Who is Competing in Beta Bracketology this Year?As the NCAA Tournament progresses, participants will see how their bracket compares to the hundreds of Beta alumni, undergraduates, Parents and Friends of Beta who are also competing. Beta Alumni competing this year includes The Honorable Richard G. Lugar, Denison ’54, Advisory Council member Robert L. Cottrell, Miami ’54, Foundation Chairman S. Wayne Kay, Virginia Tech ’73, General Fraternity President Doug Houser, Willamette ’57, and General Secretary David Schmidt, South Florida ’92.
What Prizes Will Be Awarded for the Best Brackets?At the conclusion of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament on Monday, April 2nd, the standings will be finalized for all those participating in Beta Bracketology. With the help of some of our loyal licensed vendors, prizes will be awarded to the individuals with the best tournament brackets, including: a Beta Badge, bricks at the Administrative Office, a Beta Blankets, various Beta apparel, framed photos of Beta Greats, etc. A complete list of the Beta Bracketology prizes is located here.
