All Beta GPA for 2008 PDF Print E-mail

Oxford, Ohio, June 25, 2009 — As a by-product of the General Fraternity awards process and ongoing data collection efforts, we now have GPA results for the 2008 calendar year . . . and it's good news. With 89% of chapters reporting, Beta Theta Pi's all-Fraternity GPA for 2008 was an impressive 3.069!

Winter 2008: 13 of 13 quarter schools reported a 2.975
Spring 2008: 106 of 119 chapters reported a 3.090
Fall 2008: 106 of 119 chapters reported a 3.059

Becoming one of only 13 North-American Interfraternity (NIC) organizations to surpass an overall GPA of 3.0 a few years agowas a significant achievement. Just 10 years ago, the all-Fraternity GPA was 2.821. Fortunately, Beta Theta Pi's stellar undergraduate members continue to perform in the classroom, clearly demonstrating an ongoing commitment to cultivation of the intellect.

Beta Theta Pi is dedicated to building men of principle for a principled life. Our brotherhood aids the individual, builds the Fraternity and strengthens the host academic institution through lifelong devotion to intellectual excellence, high standards of moral conduct and responsible citizenship. The Fraternity, founded in 1839 at Miami University (Ohio), has more than 125,000 members including some 6,000 collegians on 118 campuses in the United States and Canada.
