Beta Theta Pi's dedication to mutual assistance calls for a commitment by chapters and individual members to make meaningful contributions to their university, fraternal and local communities. The natural fullness of humanity comes from social and intellectual life. Not only do we need air, food, water, clothing and shelter; we also need companionship and mental stimulation. The Fraternity's responsibility to community extends beyond philanthropy (while equally important) calling for Betas to give their time to the service of their communities.
